I had a Czechpoint Vz.58 from 2011 to about 2014. It was an older model with an original Czech barrel, beaver barf furniture, and a black (vs original gray) paint finish. Its a great rifle, you have a better quality one than my CAI VZ2008. From what i know about these imported VZ58s is they are not entirely new, most parts are surplus.

The VZ58 (model 58) is a 7.62×39mm rifle designed and manufactured in Czechoslovakia and accepted into service in the late 1950s as the 7.62 mm samopal vzor 58 (“7.62mm submachine gun model 1958”), replacing the vz. 52 self-loading rifle and the 7.62×25mm Tokarev Sa 24 and Sa 26 submachine guns.

A Cz 858 is a pattern vz 58. The quality difference comes between Cz 858 which is a vz 58 manufactured by CZ based on the Czech army requirements. The CSA vz58 which is currently the only one in production available to Canada is made by Czech Small Arms. The biggest noticeable difference I see between my two.
