06 Golf V 1.4 petrol - EVAP Control / Purge Valve - Open Circuit - P0444. Hi All. Hoping someone will be able to help with a bit of a head-scratcher !! I'm getting a code P0444 - EVAP Control System - Open Circuit. I've done all the checks on the Purge Valve itself, and all seems to be working ok. Does anyone know if the vw golf mk4 1.4 16v 55kW and vw golf mk5 1.4 16v 55kW have the same Camshaft housing and cams? The housing looks exactly the same and cams also but just wanted to confirm if anyone knows if it will work. I have an mk5 1.4 16v and found the same housing and cams but there from a mk4 1.4 16v.
